We need your help to assist with the following activities:

Staffing Mobile Adoptions -
We bring dogs and puppies from the shelter
to various venues around the county. We are going to begin training
classes for all volunteers to help answer questions about health and
training, and to help ensure successful adoptions.

Transporting animals -
Reputable out-of-state rescue organizations will
take our overflow of dogs and puppies - if we can get them there. Trips
can vary from 10 miles to 500 miles.

Sewing catnip toys - We sell
catnip toys for $1.00 at Bright Veterinary
Clinic. They are a popular item and we have been known to run out. It
only requires simple squares but if you are creative we like fish and
mice patterns too!
» Collecting
from donation jars
- You can help by asking local businesses
if they will let us put a jar on their counter. Or you can help by
periodically collecting from those jars and making bank deposits.
»
Baking dog biscuits - These
seem to be popular at Christmas time. We can supply the recipes and the
dog bone cookie cutters.
»
Planning fundraisers - We are
planning our second annual yard sale in
April. We also have supplies and equipment to sell food at festivals.
We are open to holding any event - just tell us when and where!

Helping out at the shelter -
The dogs and cats at the shelter would
love for you to spend time with them. Come in and play with a dog, give
a puppy a bath, pet a cat or two. They love the attention and it helps
them become more socialized.
